Overview
The Bootleg Beatles is a British tribute act performing the music of The Beatles, presented at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The concert is a tribute and is not performed by the original group.
The Bootleg Beatles is a British rock band formed in 1980 and specialising in Beatles tribute performances. Since forming, the band has performed several thousand times, building its live activity around the repertoire of The Beatles rather than original material. Its shows are therefore a tribute: the songs are those written and recorded by the Liverpool group, performed by this band.
The act's identity rests on faithful reproduction of the Beatles catalogue in concert, with the pop and rock sound of the 1960s at its centre. The genre listed for this evening is pop, rock and indie, which reflects the broad family of music the band draws on in its performances.
The night suits listeners who want to hear a long run of well-known Beatles songs performed live by a dedicated tribute band. The Royal Albert Hall is a large concert and events venue in South Kensington, London, and hosts a wide range of concerts and shows throughout the year.
