The Magicians Table

The Magicians Table is a themed evening of close-up magic and live music staged at The Vaults Theatre in London, set in the private warehouse and performance space of a fictional carnival owner.

The evening is built around a story rather than a conventional bill. Guests are invited into the private warehouse and performance space of Dieter Roterburg, a carnival owner and magician, presented in the material as sadly deceased. The setting frames a tale of love, loss and mystery that is told to the audience during the night.

The entertainment combines several elements. Some of the UK's magicians perform close-up magic at the guests'tables, so the illusions are seen at very short range. Live music is provided by a performer on the accordion, and drinks are served throughout the evening. The material describes the programme as lasting two hours.

The show suits those who enjoy close-up magic combined with theatrical storytelling and live music. The Vaults Theatre is the London venue hosting the event; the material gives no further details about the building.
