The Snowman

A family dance production based on Raymond Briggs' picture book The Snowman, presented at the Peacock Theatre in London. It is staged as a Christmas show, with puppets, live music and dance.

The show adapts Raymond Briggs'picture book, a story about a young boy whose snowman comes to life on Christmas Eve and sets off on a night-time adventure. The material presents this London staging as a new production of the story, using puppets, live music and dance to tell it.

The score is by Howard Blake, and the listing highlights the song Walking In The Air as part of it. The production is directed and choreographed by Will Tuckett, and the set and costume design is by Anna Fleischle, whose credits are mentioned in the source material.

The show is aimed at families, both at children seeing the story for the first time and at adults who know it as a Christmas tradition. The Peacock Theatre is the venue, and the listing describes it as a place for concerts and shows in London.
