Overview
The Very Best of the Pogues brings a tribute performance celebrating the British folk rock and Celtic punk outfit to Glasgow.
The Pogues formed in London in 1982 and released their debut album, Red Roses for Me, in 1984 on Warner Music Group, establishing a pioneering fusion of traditional Irish folk instrumentation with the energy and instrumentation of punk rock. The repertoire spans the group's extensive catalogue of folk rock and Celtic punk compositions from their active years.
Martin Stephenson & the Daintees also appear on the bill, bringing their own distinct style within the pop, rock and indie spectrum to the evening's programme.
O2 Academy Glasgow hosts the event in Glasgow, providing a space for live music and performances in the city.
