Alcatraz Island Prison Tour and San Francisco Bay Cruise

A combined boat outing that pairs a visit to Alcatraz Island with a sightseeing cruise on San Francisco Bay, passing under the Golden Gate Bridge. It suits visitors who want to see both in one trip.

The outing begins with a short ferry crossing from Pier 33 to Alcatraz Island. Once ashore, you can walk around the island at your own pace and follow an audio tour of the Alcatraz Prison Cellhouse, which runs about 45 minutes and is offered in several languages. When the visit ends, you can board any returning ferry.

The bay cruise departs from a point near Pier 39, a short walk from Pier 33. Over about 60 minutes, the boat circles Alcatraz Island and travels under the Golden Gate Bridge, giving views of the city and the bay. The cruise can be taken before the island visit or on a separate day, so the two parts do not have to be combined.

The package suits visitors passing through San Francisco who want to see the former prison island and the bridge in a single outing. It is a boat trip, so the route runs along the waterfront between Pier 33 and Pier 39.
