Art Buffet: Create Your Masterpiece Workshop

An open-format art workshop at YIJUN'S Fine Art Studio in San Francisco, where participants paint, sketch or work in mixed media at their own pace, with all supplies included. It is a two-hour session.

This self-directed workshop at YIJUN'S Fine Art Studio gives participants time to make their own work without a set sequence of steps. Nobody leads a demonstration, so each person chooses the subject, the medium and the order of the work. The studio keeps a broad range of materials on hand, including brushes, paints, canvases, clay and texture paint, so you can work in painting, drawing, sculpting or mixed media.

Every supply is included, so there is nothing to bring. Aprons are available on site, though casual clothing is a sensible choice when working with paint and clay. The session lasts two hours. Large windows let natural light into the room, and professional artwork hangs on the walls.

The format suits complete beginners as well as experienced artists, people who want to try a new medium, and anyone developing a longer project. Groups of friends are welcome and can book together to create side by side.
