BEAT: Belew/Vai/Levin/Bozzio Performing the Music of KING CRIMSON

A concert by Beat, a project in which Adrian Belew, Steve Vai, Tony Levin and Terry Bozzio perform the music of King Crimson at The Theater at MGM National Harbor. Pop, rock and indie.

Beat is a project devoted to the music of King Crimson, the progressive rock group formed in London in 1968 and led by Robert Fripp. Adrian Belew, who sang and played guitar in King Crimson in the 1980s, leads the lineup with Steve Vai, Tony Levin and Terry Bozzio. Vai has played with Frank Zappa and David Lee Roth, Levin has worked with Peter Gabriel and King Crimson, and Bozzio has played with Frank Zappa and Missing Persons. Belew has also recorded with Talking Heads.

The four musicians perform King Crimson's repertoire rather than appearing as King Crimson itself. The project suits listeners who follow the band's catalog and the careers of its former members, as well as fans of progressive rock and instrumental guitar and bass playing.

The Theater at MGM National Harbor hosts concerts and shows in National Harbor, the waterfront district on the Potomac River just south of Washington, D.C.
