Chicago Murder Mystery: Death in the Shadows

A murder mystery game played on your own phone across Chicago, with DePaul University as its base. Players act as the city's top detective and work through clues at twelve locations around the city.

This interactive mystery opens with the death of Bella Wanderlust, a travel blogger, who is found dead on a ghost tour. You take the role of the city's best detective and must work out who is responsible before the killer strikes again. The story unfolds through questioning suspects, decoding hidden messages and following leads.

The outing takes you to twelve locations in Chicago, where you collect clues along the way. It is played entirely on a phone, so no extra equipment is needed, and you can play at any time that suits you. It is not accessible.

The game is based at DePaul University, whose School of Music hosts concerts and shows. It suits visitors passing through Chicago and anyone who enjoys detective stories and puzzles.
