Chicago River 90-Minute Architecture Boat Tour

A 90-minute narrated boat trip on the Chicago River, where a professional guide points out the city's architecture from the water. The route covers three branches of the river.

This daytime cruise on the Chicago River is narrated by a professional guide who describes the city's buildings as the boat passes them. The commentary offers historical background on well-known structures, including the Civic Opera House, Trump Tower and the Merchandise Mart, and also covers recent and upcoming developments along the riverfront.

The route runs along three branches of the river: the main branch toward Navy Pier, the north branch toward Goose Island, and the south branch toward Chinatown. The boat passes close to Skydeck, which gives a view of the downtown skyline from the water. No prior knowledge is needed to follow the commentary.

The activity is open to all ages, which makes it suitable for families with children, visitors who want an overview of the city, and anyone curious about its architecture. It is a seated-free, guided experience on the water, with the commentary delivered throughout the 90 minutes on the river.
