Cory Henry Presents: The Gospel Brunch Experience

A gospel brunch show led by Cory Henry, the American jazz-funk organist, pianist and producer, at Blue Note Los Angeles, with a program that spans soul, funk, R&B, gospel and reggae.

Cory Henry is an American jazz-funk organist, pianist, gospel musician and producer, born in 1987 in Brooklyn. The debut album, Gotcha Now Doc, was released in 2012. This event, titled Cory Henry Presents: The Gospel Brunch Experience, is built around a blend of R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae, so the gospel and funk strands of Henry's background sit alongside soul, R&B and reggae.

Blue Note Los Angeles hosts concerts and shows in Los Angeles, and this event takes place there. The title names a brunch format, which places the evening within a daytime meal setting.

The night suits listeners who follow gospel-inflected soul and funk, and those interested in organ and keyboard-led music that moves across several styles, from church-rooted gospel to reggae.
