Friday Night in the SIDEBAR w/ The Meadowlark Lemons!

A jazz evening at Fitzgeralds Sidebar in Berwyn, featuring The Meadowlark Lemons as part of the venue's Friday Night series in the Sidebar room.

Jazz grew out of African American musical traditions in New Orleans around the turn of the twentieth century. Its core is improvisation built over a shared harmonic and rhythmic framework, a practice that later developed into swing, bebop and many other styles. The Meadowlark Lemons play in this tradition, and this Friday night program is a chance to hear the genre performed live.

Fitzgeralds Sidebar hosts concerts and shows in Berwyn, a western suburb of Chicago. This Friday night program places a jazz act on the Sidebar stage, bringing live music to listeners in the western suburbs and the wider Chicago area.

The evening suits anyone interested in hearing jazz performed live in Berwyn, whether they follow the genre closely or are exploring it for the first time.
