Josh Homme & Friends: A Benefit for CORE & The Sweet Stuff Foundation

A benefit concert in Los Angeles bringing together rock, pop, comedy and magic, with proceeds going to CORE and The Sweet Stuff Foundation. The bill is headed by Josh Homme and includes a range of guest performers.

Josh Homme co-founded Queens of the Stone Age and previously played in Kyuss. Weird Al Yankovic is a parodist whose songs, such as "Eat It," rework well-known pop and rock recordings. Beck is an American musician from Los Angeles, active since 1988, whose work blends independent rock, soul and alternative hip-hop; the album Bek's a Loser, released in 1991 on Geffen Records, marked the start of that recorded output.

Norah Jones is a singer and pianist whose debut album, Come Away with Me, appeared in 2002. St. Vincent has released a series of solo albums, including Marry Me in 2007. Justin Willman is a magician, a live performer working in the field of magic, and is part of the bill alongside the musicians.

This is a benefit event, so the program supports the two organizations named in the title. The Wiltern hosts concerts and shows in Los Angeles, and this evening brings the performers together for a single charitable night.
