California Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends

California Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends is a concert at the Hollywood Bowl built around Aerosmith, the American rock band formed in Boston in 1969. The title pairs the band with a group of friends.

Aerosmith is an American rock band formed in Boston in 1969, playing hard rock, blues rock and rock 'n'roll. Its first album, "Aerosmith", came out in 1973. Steven Tyler and Joe Perry are among its key members, and Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer and Brad Whitford have also been part of the group. Among the band's best-known songs are "Dream On", from that debut, and "Walk This Way", released in 1975.

This evening is billed under the genres pop, rock and indie, and its title, California Dream On: Aerosmith & Friends, places the band's catalogue alongside a group of friends on the same bill. The band's sound draws on the blues roots that shape its hard rock and rock 'n'roll, so the set will sit in that tradition.

The Hollywood Bowl hosts concerts and shows in Hollywood. The night suits listeners who know Aerosmith's songs from the 1970s and want to hear the band's rock catalogue performed in a Los Angeles venue.
