Joy Oladokun: The Heavy Things Tour

Joy Oladokun brings The Heavy Things Tour to Warsaw in Brooklyn, a concert by the American singer-songwriter and musician whose work spans pop, rock and indie.

Joy Oladokun is an American folk singer-songwriter and musician, born in 1992 in Casa Grande. Her career began in 2016, the same year she released her debut album, Carry. The Heavy Things Tour takes her material to Brooklyn, where the concert is hosted at Warsaw.

Warsaw hosts concerts and shows in Brooklyn, and this evening is a concert within that program. The genre of the evening is pop, rock and indie, which places Oladokun's songwriting between folk roots and the more electric textures of contemporary indie music.

The night suits listeners who follow singer-songwriters and want to hear a recent tour in a Brooklyn venue. It is a good fit for fans of Oladokun's debut album Carry and for anyone curious about the folk-based songwriting that runs through her catalog.
