MANIA: The ABBA Tribute

MANIA: The ABBA Tribute is a concert by a tribute act that performs the music of ABBA, the Swedish pop group. It takes place at the George Van Dusen Theatre at North Shore Center in Skokie.

ABBA was a Swedish pop group formed in Stockholm in 1972 by Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. The group won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 with "Waterloo," and its later hits include "Dancing Queen" (1976), "Fernando" and "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)." ABBA was active until 1982, and the four members reunited for the album "Voyage" in 2021.

MANIA is a tribute act, not the original group. The show is built around the songs of ABBA and is presented as a homage to the band's catalog of 1970s pop, with its melodies, harmonies and disco-era arrangements.

The George Van Dusen Theatre is located at North Shore Center, a venue in Skokie that hosts concerts and shows. The evening suits listeners who know ABBA's records and want to hear its songs performed live.
