Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical

Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical is a musical staged at the John Golden Theatre in New York, presented as a Broadway production in the musicals category.

The show is built around the Operation Mincemeat story, a World War II deception in which British intelligence planted false documents on a corpse to mislead German commanders about the Allied invasion of Sicily. The musical turns this wartime episode into a stage comedy with songs, following the team of officers and their improbable plan.

Operation Mincemeat is presented by the act of the same name, which is the artist credited for this production. The score and the performers'roles are the main elements of the evening, and the piece is staged as a full-length musical rather than a concert.

The John Golden Theatre is a Broadway house in New York that hosts concerts and shows. The production suits audiences who enjoy musical comedy with a historical premise and a fast-moving plot, and who want a theater evening in Midtown.
