A blues, country and folk concert at Fitzgeralds Nightclub in Berwyn, a suburb west of Chicago, for listeners who follow American roots music.

This evening sits within blues, country and folk, three American roots styles that share acoustic traditions and songs built on personal stories. Blues grew out of African American communities in the Mississippi Delta and the wider South, while country and folk draw on rural Southern and Appalachian music, so these styles share a common foundation in storytelling and vocal expression.

Fitzgeralds Nightclub, in Berwyn, hosts concerts and shows throughout the year. For listeners who follow roots music, it offers a way to hear these traditions performed live in the western suburbs of Chicago, without travelling into the city center.
