The Jazz Room: A Tribute to Frank Sinatra & Louis Armstrong

The Jazz Room is a jazz tribute evening that revisits the songs of Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong, performed by a live band at The Den Theatre in Chicago.

The Jazz Room is a tribute to two central figures of American music: Frank Sinatra, whose recordings are central to the Great American Songbook, and Louis Armstrong, the New Orleans trumpeter and singer whose 1920s recordings helped establish the jazz soloist. The show honors both artists rather than presenting either of them on stage.

The repertoire includes songs such as Fly Me to the Moon, associated with Sinatra, and What a Wonderful World, associated with Armstrong. A live band performs these numbers, reimagining them for a live tribute concert.

The evening takes place at The Den Theatre, a Chicago venue that hosts concerts and shows. Listeners interested in classic vocal jazz will find both artists'songs at the center of the program, which frames the night around two of the most influential figures in the music.
