A Very MAYSA Christmas

A jazz holiday concert by the vocalist Maysa, presented as A Very MAYSA Christmas at the Birchmere in Alexandria, Virginia. The program applies jazz singing to the Christmas season.

Maysa is a jazz vocalist, and A Very MAYSA Christmas applies that singing to the holiday season, with the program built around the Christmas theme given in the title. The genre of the evening is jazz, so the seasonal material is approached through that musical identity rather than as a conventional holiday recital.

The concert takes place at the Birchmere, a venue in Alexandria, Virginia, whose calendar covers concerts and shows. The evening suits listeners who want jazz vocals framed by the Christmas season, whether they come for the genre, for the holiday theme, or for both. Because the project is presented under a single name that carries the Christmas theme, the program reads as a themed show by one act rather than a mixed bill.
