Alex Dunn

A jazz concert by Alex Dunn at The Sunset Tavern in Seattle, one of the city's venues for concerts and shows. Jazz performed live is the focus of this evening.

Alex Dunn is a jazz act, and this concert brings the music to a live audience in Seattle. The genre grew out of New Orleans in the early twentieth century, drawing on blues, ragtime and brass band traditions, and later branched into bebop, cool jazz and fusion.

Jazz is built on improvisation over harmonic frameworks, often drawn from the blues and the standard repertoire, so the evening suits listeners who follow the genre in performance and want to hear its interplay between musicians in person.

The Sunset Tavern hosts concerts and shows in Seattle, and this jazz performance is one of the live music evenings it stages.
