John Scofield's Electrospective

John Scofield's Electrospective is a jazz concert in Seattle featuring guitarist John Scofield, whose work moves between jazz and jazz fusion. The event takes place at the Neptune Theatre.

John Scofield is an American guitarist born in 1951 in Dayton. His playing sits within jazz and jazz fusion, and his first album, East Meets West, was released in 1978. In the 1980s he played with Miles Davis's band, a period that brought his electric guitar style to a wide audience. His discography includes releases on the Deutsche Grammophon label, which places his recordings alongside a long catalog of classical and jazz titles.

Electrospective is the name under which this concert is presented, and it is a jazz program led by Scofield. The show draws on the guitarist's long career in jazz and fusion, with an emphasis on the electric guitar tradition that runs through his recordings.

The Neptune Theatre hosts concerts and shows in Seattle. The evening suits listeners who follow modern jazz guitar and fusion, as well as those who know Scofield's records and want to hear them performed live.
