Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine performs live at the Birchmere in Alexandria, Virginia, in a concert drawing on R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae. The evening suits listeners interested in how these styles meet on one stage.

Avery Sunshine's music moves across R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae, pairing the vocal tradition of soul and gospel with the groove of funk and the offbeat rhythms of reggae. This concert places those styles in a single live set for listeners who follow contemporary R&B and soul.

The Birchmere hosts concerts and shows in Alexandria, Virginia, and is the venue for this performance. Alexandria sits across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C., which makes the venue reachable for those in the capital region.

Because the genres range from gospel to reggae, the set covers a wider range than a single-genre R&B concert would.
