Brandy Clark - Take Flight World Tour

Brandy Clark plays the Birchmere in Alexandria as part of the Take Flight World Tour, with country songwriting rooted in blues and folk. The concert is a live show by a single artist.

Brandy Clark is a country singer-songwriter whose music draws on blues, country and folk. Clark is also an active songwriter, with songs recorded by other artists alongside a solo catalog. The debut album, 12 Stories, appeared in 2013, and the follow-up, Big Day in a Small Town, came in 2016, both built on detailed character sketches and narrative lyrics.

The Take Flight World Tour takes its name from the current touring cycle, and this stop brings the act to Alexandria. The emphasis is on songs and storytelling, so the evening suits listeners who follow country songwriting and the blues and folk traditions behind it.

The Birchmere hosts concerts and shows in Alexandria, and this performance is one of its music bookings in the area.
