Bttrfly Quintet

A jazz concert by the Bttrfly Quintet at Garcia's Chicago, a Chicago venue that hosts concerts and shows. The group's name points to a five-member ensemble.

Bttrfly Quintet is a jazz act, and this concert brings the group to the stage at Garcia's Chicago. The name points to a five-member project. Jazz grew out of African American musical traditions in New Orleans in the late 1800s and early 1900s, and it is built on improvisation over a shared harmonic and rhythmic framework. The quintet format relies on each player's solos within that framework.

Garcia's Chicago hosts concerts and shows in the city, and this jazz evening is part of that programming. The night suits anyone looking for live jazz in Chicago, particularly listeners interested in small-group ensembles.
