EagleMania

EagleMania is a tribute act devoted to the music of the Eagles, the American rock band whose catalog is the subject of this show at the Birchmere in Alexandria.

The Eagles formed in Los Angeles in 1971 and drew on country rock, folk and Southern California vocal harmony. Their core members were Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon and Randy Meisner, with Don Felder and Joe Walsh joining later. Their best-known records include the 1972 debut album Eagles and the 1976 album Hotel California, whose title track became one of the band's signature songs.

Songs such as "Take It Easy," "Desperado," "Lyin'Eyes" and "Life in the Fast Lane" are central to the band's catalog. EagleMania is a tribute to that music, not the Eagles themselves.

The Birchmere is a concert and show venue in Alexandria, Virginia. The evening suits listeners who know the Eagles'1970s records and want to hear that repertoire performed by a tribute act.
