Emma Nissen

A concert by Emma Nissen, an electronic music act, at the Birchmere in Alexandria, Virginia, a venue that hosts concerts and shows in the city.

Emma Nissen is an electronic music act, and this concert brings its sound to a live audience. Electronic music is built on synthesized and electronically processed sounds, with programmed rhythms and layered textures forming the core of the music. The genre's tools are synthesizers, samplers and digital production software. Electronic music grew out of studio experimentation, and its live forms adapt that production work to the stage. That foundation gives the evening its character, whatever the set contains.

The Birchmere hosts concerts and shows in Alexandria, Virginia, just across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. The concert suits listeners who follow electronic music and want to hear this act's sound in person in the Washington area.
