Hamilton Leithauser + Rostam

A concert at Thalia Hall in Chicago pairing rock singer Hamilton Leithauser with songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Rostam, two artists working in pop, rock and indie.

Hamilton Leithauser is an American rock singer whose career has been active since 1996. The first album under Leithauser's name, Black Hours, was released in 2014. Rostam Batmanglij, who performs as Rostam, is an American songwriter and multi-instrumentalist born in 1983. Rostam was a member of the indie rock band Vampire Weekend and of the electro-soul group Discovery, and released the first solo album, I Had a Dream That You Were Mine, in 2016.

The bill sits across pop, rock and indie: Leithauser's rock vocals on one side, and Rostam's songwriting and multi-instrumental work, shaped by indie and electro-soul projects, on the other.

Thalia Hall hosts concerts and shows in Chicago. The pairing suits listeners who follow indie rock and songwriter-driven pop, and those interested in the work of both artists'solo records.
