Hohyun

A live program in Los Angeles at The Moroccan Lounge, featuring Hohyun and Labit, drawing on R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae.

Hohyun and Labit perform at The Moroccan Lounge, a Los Angeles venue that hosts concerts and shows. The program draws on R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae, styles that share a common thread of rhythm, groove and vocal expression across American and Caribbean music.

Listeners who follow contemporary R&B and soul will recognize the connection to the funk and gospel traditions that shaped those genres, while reggae adds a Jamaican rhythmic element to the bill. The evening suits anyone interested in the range of Black popular music, from church-rooted vocal singing to the dance-floor grooves of funk. Hohyun and Labit are presented together on this program.
