Led Zeppelin in Jazz with Whole Lotta Swing

A jazz program by Whole Lotta Swing that reworks the music of Led Zeppelin, presented at Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood, with Blues & Jazz Jam also on the bill.

Led Zeppelin was an English rock band formed in London in 1968 by guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant, bassist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham. Their music draws on the blues, and their best-known recordings include "Whole Lotta Love" from Led Zeppelin II (1969) and "Stairway to Heaven" from their untitled fourth album (1971).

This program, Led Zeppelin in Jazz with Whole Lotta Swing, reinterprets the band's repertoire in a jazz idiom, as its title states. The bill also includes Blues & Jazz Jam, and the evening takes place at Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood, a venue that hosts concerts and shows.

The evening suits listeners who know Led Zeppelin's catalog and want to hear it recast in jazz, or who follow the blues traditions both styles share.
