Overview
A concert at Saint Vitus in Brooklyn featuring Mareux, the electronic project of Los Angeles musician and producer Aryan Ashtiani, with Future Nobodies also on the bill.
Mareux is the electronic solo project of Los Angeles-based musician and producer Aryan Ashtiani, developed over roughly a decade. Its darkwave-leaning songs include "The Perfect Girl," which has built an international following online. A reviewer described the sound as moving between synth-pop, coldwave and post-punk, with heavy beats, glossy synth lines, sparse droning textures and a 1980s touch.
Mareux released the debut album Lovers From the Past in 2023, after several years of work in music. Future Nobodies also appear on the bill. Saint Vitus hosts concerts and shows in Brooklyn, and this evening suits listeners interested in Mareux's moody, romantic electronic style.
