Marten Hørger

An electronic music performance by Marten Hørger at Hideaway in Chicago, a venue that hosts concerts and shows.

Marten Hørger is an electronic act performing at Hideaway, a Chicago venue that hosts concerts and shows. Electronic music relies on synthesizers, drum machines, samplers and computer-based production, the tools that define the genre. It grew out of dance-floor culture, where repetitive beats and layered sounds were built for club nights before reaching concert stages.

This is a concert for listeners who follow electronic music and want to hear the genre performed live, rather than through recordings alone. Chicago has a particular link to the genre, since house music takes its name from The Warehouse, a club in the city. Hideaway's programming spans concerts and shows, so the booking sits within a regular calendar of live events in Chicago.
