Matt Schuster

Matt Schuster performs blues, country and folk in a Chicago concert at Carol's Pub, a venue that hosts concerts and shows in the city.

Matt Schuster is an act working in blues, country and folk, three roots traditions that share narrative songwriting and acoustic instrumentation. Blues brings twelve-bar structures and expressive phrasing, country adds storytelling and melody, and folk supplies the direct, song-centered approach that links them. Matt Schuster's music sits at the crossroads of these genres, which makes the evening suited to fans of American roots music. Chicago's blues history gives the blues strand a particular local tradition.

Carol's Pub hosts concerts and shows in Chicago, and this evening takes place there in the city. Listeners drawn to blues, country or folk can hear how the three styles meet in one live set.
