Melvin Seals and JGB with Special Guests TBA

A jazz project led by keyboardist Melvin Seals, who carries the JGB name forward from the Jerry Garcia Band. This Los Angeles concert at The Regent Theater includes special guests to be announced.

Melvin Seals and JGB is a jazz act built around keyboardist Melvin Seals, who played organ and keyboards with the Jerry Garcia Band. After Jerry Garcia's death in 1995, Seals kept that band's lineage alive under the JGB name, linking the project to the improvisational, jam-oriented tradition of the Garcia band. The music draws on that improvisational approach while placing the Hammond organ at the center of the sound.

The concert is part of the group's work in Los Angeles, and the bill includes special guests, to be announced. Listeners who know the Jerry Garcia Band's catalog and its extended live performances will find a familiar lineage here, while those interested in jazz-rooted improvisation can follow the project's organ-driven approach.

The Regent Theater hosts concerts and shows in Los Angeles, and this performance is one of its music bookings.
