The music of Mike Viola, a singer-songwriter and producer born in Stoughton, has been heard since 1985. Records made from 2019 onward, including The American Egypt, Godmuffin and Paul McCarthy, were recorded at Barebones, the Los Angeles studio.

The 2024 album Rock Of Boston was recorded on half-inch tape at Barebones with bassist Jake Sinclair and drummer Brendon Urie. Viola wrote much of it while playing guitar on a world tour with Panic! at the Disco, sketching ideas on the bus between soundcheck and showtime.

Gold-Diggers is a Los Angeles venue that hosts concerts and shows. This booking brings Viola's rock-leaning songwriting, with its pop and indie touches, to the venue's stage.
