Mortal Fools Play A Christmas Carol Regifted

A Christmas-themed stage production by the Chicago theater ensemble Mortal Fools, based on Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol and presented at the Epiphany Center for the Arts in Chicago.

Mortal Fools Play A Christmas Carol Regifted is a production by Mortal Fools, a Chicago theater ensemble, built on Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol. Dickens published the novella in 1843. It follows the miser Ebenezer Scrooge, who is visited by three spirits on Christmas Eve and is forced to confront his past, his present and the future that awaits him. The title signals that the company reworks this familiar story for its own staging.

Because Mortal Fools is a theater company, this is a play rather than a concert, and the evening is driven by acting and direction rather than by a musical set. The production is staged at The Sanctuary, the performance space of the Epiphany Center for the Arts, which hosts concerts and shows in Chicago.
