Neil Young's 81st Bday Celebration w/ Tommi Zender

A birthday celebration of Neil Young's music, billed with Tommi Zender at Fitzgeralds Nightclub in Berwyn. The night draws on blues, country and folk, and Neil Young does not perform.

Neil Young, the Canadian-American singer-songwriter, began recording in the mid-1960s with Buffalo Springfield and later worked both solo and with Crazy Horse. Key albums include After the Gold Rush (1970) and Harvest (1972), which blend folk, country and rock. This evening is a birthday celebration of his music, not a performance by Neil Young himself.

The bill draws on blues, country and folk, with Tommi Zender billed alongside the celebration. Young's catalog moves between acoustic folk and electric rock, a range that runs through the blues, country and folk roots of the night's billing.

Fitzgeralds Nightclub in Berwyn hosts concerts and shows, and the night is aimed at listeners who follow Young's folk and country-leaning songwriting.
