Newmyer Flyer Presents LAUREL CANYON

Newmyer Flyer presents LAUREL CANYON at the Birchmere in Alexandria, Virginia, an evening that takes its name from the Los Angeles neighborhood tied to 1960s and 1970s folk rock.

Laurel Canyon is a neighborhood in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles. In the late 1960s and early 1970s, its houses and clubs became a gathering place for singer-songwriters and folk-rock musicians, and Joni Mitchell and the Eagles are among the artists most often associated with that scene. The name of this show points directly to that tradition.

Newmyer Flyer presents LAUREL CANYON, with the act Laurel Canyon on the bill. The concert takes place at the Birchmere, a music venue in Alexandria, Virginia, which hosts concerts and shows. The evening suits listeners interested in harmony-driven songwriting and the acoustic and electric sound that defined the canyon's musicians.
