Olafur Arnalds

A classical concert by Icelandic musician Ólafur Arnalds at Town Hall New York, from an artist whose career began in ambient and experimental music.

Ólafur Arnalds is an Icelandic musician born in 1986 in Mosfellsbær. Active since 2000 in ambient and experimental music, Arnalds released the debut album Eulogy for Evolution in 2007 on the label Erased Tapes.

This evening is presented as a classical concert, a field that sits alongside the ambient and experimental music that marked the start of the career. Listeners who know the debut album will find in this program a different setting for the same musician's work.

Town Hall New York hosts concerts and shows in New York, and this performance takes place there. The evening suits listeners interested in contemporary Icelandic music and in the move from ambient and experimental sound toward a classical setting.
