Pearlsnap

Pearlsnap, an act in blues, country and folk, plays a concert in Chicago at Carol's Pub, a local venue for concerts and shows.

Pearlsnap performs blues, country and folk, and this concert brings the project to Chicago. The three genres share roots in older vernacular traditions: blues grew out of African American music in the Deep South in the late 19th century, country drew on Southern and Appalachian string-band music, and folk built on traditional songs passed down orally.

The concert takes place at Carol's Pub, a Chicago venue that hosts concerts and shows. The evening suits listeners who follow blues, country and folk and want to hear live music in the city. Anyone curious about how these styles connect will find their shared roots a useful frame for the evening.
