Randy Hansen

Randy Hansen is a jazz act performing in Chicago at Garcia's Chicago, a venue that hosts concerts and shows in the city. The evening places listeners in one of American music's central traditions.

Jazz developed in New Orleans in the early twentieth century, drawing on blues, ragtime and brass band traditions. It grew into swing, bebop and many later styles, all built on improvisation over structured harmony. Randy Hansen performs in this tradition, and the concert offers a direct way to hear live jazz in Chicago.

Garcia's Chicago is the venue hosting the performance. It presents concerts and shows in the city, and this evening is one of its listings for live music.

The night suits listeners who want to hear jazz performed live, whether they follow the genre closely or are discovering it for the first time.
