Renée Christine

Renée Christine is an artist writing protest music about climate justice, abuses of power, and the pressures facing a young generation. This Los Angeles concert takes place at Gold-Diggers, a venue that hosts concerts and shows.

Renée Christine writes socially engaged songs that draw on landmark literature, recent news headlines, and the artist's own coming of age. Raised outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and now based near Phoenix, Arizona, the artist spent time backpacking and built relationships with people across the political spectrum, and those conversations shaped the subjects of the songs: climate justice and the misuse of power.

Across the catalog, the songs address the crises of a young generation that inherited difficult circumstances from earlier ones, while keeping a sense of hope for what comes next. The writing is direct about its positions and does not soften them, and the artist describes wanting to be bolder than their younger self could have imagined.

Gold-Diggers is a Los Angeles venue that hosts concerts and shows. A debut album is slated for release in fall 2026, so this performance comes at the start of a new stage in the project.
