Samy Sharif

Samy Sharif is a Los Angeles-based poet, songwriter and producer working across alt-pop and hip-hop, presented in concert at Gold-Diggers.

Samy Sharif is a poet, songwriter and producer whose work moves between alt-pop and hip-hop, shaped by a strong sense of rhythm and melody. The lyrics are described as incisive and precise, and the music centers on vulnerability, self-exploration and personal expression. The genre attached to this act is pop, rock and indie.

Sharif is a first-generation Egyptian-Irish artist, born in New York, raised in the Midwest and now based in Los Angeles. The craft was first developed in Chicago, before a solo move west; the project is now centered in Venice Beach.

Gold-Diggers hosts concerts and shows in Los Angeles, and this evening brings Sharif's songwriting to that stage. The night suits listeners interested in confessional alt-pop and hip-hop-leaning songwriting, performed by an artist who writes, produces and sings their own material.
