Reggae & Soul Nite

A night of reggae, soul and R&B in San Francisco, bringing together funk and gospel alongside reggae at Kilowatt, a venue for concerts and shows.

Reggae & Soul Nite brings together R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae in one evening of live music. The styles share a strong emphasis on groove and vocals: reggae's offbeat rhythm and bass lines, the call-and-response phrasing of gospel, and the horn-led arrangements and rhythmic drive of soul and funk. The billing lists Reggae, Soul Nite and Reggae & Soul Nite as its performing names.

Kilowatt hosts concerts and shows in San Francisco. For listeners who follow soul, reggae or funk, the evening offers a single program that moves between these traditions rather than focusing on one genre.
