The Fearless Flyers

A Los Angeles concert by The Fearless Flyers, an act working across R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae, presented at Blue Note Los Angeles.

The Fearless Flyers works across R&B, soul, funk, gospel and reggae, genres that share an emphasis on groove, sung melody and vocal harmony. Each tradition shapes the act's sound, so the music moves between the rhythmic drive of funk and the reflective textures of soul and gospel. Reggae is the least common element in that list, and it adds an offbeat rhythm to the groove-based material.

Blue Note Los Angeles hosts concerts and shows in Los Angeles, and this evening brings the act to its stage. The program suits listeners who follow soul-based music and want to hear how reggae rhythms and gospel-rooted singing sit within a funk and R&B framework.
