The Juice Joint

A jazz concert by The Juice Joint at Lemon, a Chicago venue for concerts and shows, with live improvised jazz at its core.

The Juice Joint is a jazz act, and this concert puts live jazz at the center of the evening. Jazz grew out of African American communities in New Orleans in the early twentieth century, and it rests on improvisation over swing, blues and harmonic structures that each performer reshapes in the moment.

Lemon is a Chicago venue for concerts and shows, and this jazz concert is staged there. Chicago has a long jazz history, with South Side clubs central to the 1920s scene.

The evening suits listeners drawn to live jazz, whether they follow the genre closely or are discovering it through a single concert.
