The Lost Boys

The Lost Boys is a musical staged at the Palace Theatre in New York, adapted for the stage from the 1987 vampire film of the same name.

The Lost Boys is presented as a musical, a stage format that combines sung numbers, dialogue and dance. The production takes its story from the 1987 film The Lost Boys, directed by Joel Schumacher, which follows two brothers who move to a California coastal town and become entangled with a gang of teenage vampires. The stage version keeps the film's premise and its atmosphere of adolescent rivalry and dread, translating them into a theatrical format.

The Palace Theatre New York hosts concerts and shows in New York, and this production is one of the theatrical events programmed there. Those who know the 1980s film will recognize its characters and setting, while newcomers can follow the story without prior knowledge of the movie.

The show suits audiences interested in musical theater and in stage adaptations of cult films. Performances are given in the theater on this visit to New York, and the program is presented as a musical from start to finish.
