The Simple Remedy

A concert by The Simple Remedy, an act working in blues, country and folk, at Carol's Pub, a Chicago venue that hosts concerts and shows.

The Simple Remedy performs blues, country and folk, three styles that share roots in American storytelling and song. Blues contributes emotional directness and chord-based structures, country its narrative lyrics, and folk its focus on melody and tradition, so the act's music sits where these traditions meet. Blues and country both grew out of the same Southern song traditions, which is why the combination is a natural fit.

Carol's Pub is a Chicago venue that hosts concerts and shows, and this booking places the act on its stage. The evening suits listeners who follow roots music and want to hear blues, country and folk performed within one program by a single act.
