Toad The Wet Sprocket

Toad the Wet Sprocket, the California rock band, plays Sony Hall in New York, with Willy Porter on the bill. The concert brings together two singer-songwriters with guitar-based catalogs.

Toad the Wet Sprocket is an American rock band formed in Santa Barbara, California, in the mid-1980s. Led by singer and songwriter Glen Phillips, the group built its sound on melodic guitar pop with folk and alternative rock roots, and it became known to a wide audience in the 1990s with songs such as "All I Want" and "Walk on the Ocean." The band's records are often cited for their clear harmonies and reflective lyrics.

Willy Porter is a singer-songwriter and guitarist whose work draws on folk, blues and rock, with a focus on acoustic guitar and personal storytelling. Both artists work largely in the songwriting tradition, which makes the pairing a natural one for listeners who follow either catalog.

Sony Hall is a concert and show venue in New York, and the evening suits fans of guitar-driven songwriting who want to hear both acts on one bill.
