Troy Roberts Quartet

A jazz concert by the Troy Roberts Quartet, led by Australian tenor saxophonist Troy Roberts, at Arrow Street Arts in Cambridge. The evening is built around a leader-driven small-group format.

Troy Roberts is an Australian tenor saxophonist and bandleader, and the Troy Roberts Quartet is his small-group jazz project. The concert presents the quartet under his leadership, so the music follows the tradition of saxophone-led combo jazz, where the leader's playing sets the direction for the whole group.

Arrow Street Arts is a concert and performance venue in Cambridge, just across the Charles River from Boston. It hosts live music and performance programming, and its concerts bring audiences from both sides of the river to hear touring and local artists.

The night suits listeners who follow modern jazz and enjoy the detail of a quartet, where each player carries a clear share of the sound. It is a focused evening of jazz rather than a broad program, and it will appeal most to those who want to hear a saxophone-led group in a small room.
