Tyla — The A*pop World Tour

A concert by South African singer-songwriter Tyla on The A*pop World Tour, staged at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. The show brings the artist's contemporary R&B, amapiano and pop to the city.

Tyla is a South African singer-songwriter born in 2002 in Edenvale and active since 2019. The music draws on contemporary R&B, amapiano and pop. Amapiano, a style that grew out of South African house music, gives the rhythms a distinctive, dance-oriented pulse, while the R&B and pop elements shape the vocal melodies and songwriting.

The debut album, TYLA, was released in 2024 on Epic Records and gathers the sound that has defined the artist's work since the early years of the career. Listeners approaching the catalog can start with the album to hear how these influences combine.

The A*pop World Tour brings Tyla to Washington, D.C., with the performance taking place at The Anthem, a venue that hosts concerts and shows in the city. The night suits listeners who follow contemporary R&B, amapiano and pop, and who want to hear the music live in the capital.
